Support and fact-finding has come from residents all over the city who know we can do better.
This is not a formal organization. It is a call to action. Anyone who is open to contacting their representatives, sharing ideas, speaking out, and has a desire for change can be a part of making Tampa more vibrant.
Why do this?
This all started with stories from neighbors.
The father of a young daughter who answers the door to a detective asking about the homicide suspect hiding out in the vacant building across the street.
The elderly vacant lot owner who feels helpless because a confrontation with drug dealers and illegal dumpers may jeopardize his own safety.
Neighbors waking up in the middle of the night with armed police kicking down a plywood covering to search a vacant house full of human excrement.
No matter who they called, there was never a solution. Watching the frustration curdle into resentment and hopelessness signaled a clear shortcoming of government.

Tell the power that be…
City Council members support the cause. But without cooperation from key players in the administration, progress will stall.
Let City Council know you’re on their side. Ask the Mayor for her staff to join us.
